This year’s LILA jury was comprised of renowned international experts from the profession to select the winners of LILA – Landezine International Landscape Award 2017. H+N+S is winner in the category OFFICE.

There were 102 submitted entries in the office category and 149 entries in the project category. The president of the jury was LILA 2016 winner Martí Franch (EMF – Estudi Martí Franch), joined by members:
Kathryn Gustafson (Gustafson Guthrie Nichol, Gustafson Porter+Bowman)
Kai-Uwe Bergmann (BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group)
Perry Lethlean (T.C.L. – Taylor Cullity Lethlean)
Chih-Wei GV Chang (SWA Group)
Robert Schaefer (founder of Topos Magazine).

According to the jury: 'H+N+S has through an engineering approach successfully developed large scale thinking about landscape, integrating aspects concerning energy, environment, well-being and aesthetics. They feature a consistent opus of brave interventions in landscape, often with ingenious and innovative solutions. H+N+S is a relevant force in our common task to find and develop new tools for overcoming the challenges concerning landscape today and in the future.’


Special mentions in the category OFFICE go to SLA, Agence Ter and SCAPE.

The winner of LILA 2017 in the PROJECT category is Saint Ouen – Park at the docks designed by Agence Ter.

Besides the jury awards, visitors of Landezine were able to vote for projects, offices and products to select winners of the Public Choice Awards. Visitors of Landezine website selected OMGEVING as the winner of LILA Public Choice Award in the OFFICE category and Nørreport station in Copenhagen (COBE, Gottlieb Paludan) as the winner in the PROJECT category. The PRODUCT award winner was selected by visitors of Landezine website via voting. The awarded entry is “Antibes&Nice” by Area.
